The Hunger Games Trilogy

I finished up the trilogy before the movie came out, 

and I LOVED it!!!

It was good. 

I was sucked in from the beginning. 

I wasn't sure if I would like the post apocalyptical period, 

but I liked it a lot!!

My favorite book was Catching Fire (even though it was a slow start.)

I was team Peeta from the start.  

The ending was unconventional, 

but I still liked it. 

It fit the story.

And hey every once in a while unconventional is good. 

I love to watch how movies are adapted from the book. 

I love to see how the interpretation matches up to the picture in my mind. 

The great thing about the movie was it brought my imagination to life. 

I thought it was a great interpretation of the book. 

I loved it!!!

It stinks that we have to wait until November 2013 for Catching Fire.

The Woman in Black

Last weekend I saw The Woman in Black. 

I love movies like this, but don't get to watch them often.

I can never find anyone to go with me. 

Since Daniel Radcliffe was in it my bestie decided to go. 

The movie did not disappoint. 

It was scary, but not gruesome. 

I liked the story.

And believe it or not, 

I did not think of Harry Potter the entire movie.

I give it 2 thumbs up. 

I still want to read the book.

I feel like the some of the back story will be good to know. 

I may have to read it only in daylight though.

Breaking Dawn

Tonight is the night. 

The beginning of the end. 

And the moment we have ALL been waiting for.

Captain America

Not being a huge super hero fan, 

I had no clue what Captain America was about. 

So I went into the movie with an open mind. 

The movie had a lot going for it. 

I love the World War II area of American History. 

I love the whole concept of an American hero 

risking his life for the good of our country. 

I love hot guys, and I love me a good love story. 

I also love Tommy Lee Jones. He is amazing.

I love how dry he is. 

Durning the entire movie I was sure 

that I had been turned into a Captain American fan. 

I have to be honest I loved it till the end. 

It was not the ended I wanted or expected. 

I feel that it was left over for part 2,

so maybe I will be won over 100% in part 2.

Harry Potter....The End

As you all know I am a huge Harry Potter fan.

I was in line with all of the other Harry Potter fans for the midnight showing.

I was actually 4th in line. (Yes I am that big of a fan.)

I was not dressed up, but I did have my wand. 

It was bitter sweet. 

I love the excitement of waiting in line on midnight for the first showing;

but as we sat there it was sad thinking it would be our last time in line for Harry Potter. 

The movie was great. 

You could hear a pin drop in the crowded theater. 

(One of the pluses of going at midnight is you get to see it with true fans.)

There were times when you could hear the entire theater sobbing. 

Overall I think that the movie was done very well. 

It was a great adaptation of the book, 

and I cannot think of anything that was left out. 

I am sad that the excitement is over.

At least the magic can live on forever in books and movies. 

Friends With Benefits

Last weekend I went to see Friends with Benefits and LOVED it!!!!!!

I love romantic comedies. 

I love that they are cheesy and predictable. 

I love the combination of love and laughter.

I even love the drama and heart ache also. 

Mia and Justin did not disappoint. 

I laughed so hard. 

Justin and Mia are hilarious, and they had great chemistry. 

The story line was great. 

I will definitely be purchasing this movie on DVD. 

And I'll be totally honest Justin Timberlake is H O T hot!!!!!

Tonight it ends. 

At 12:02 AM I will be sitting in a theater

 with my tissue and and my popcorn waiting for the end. 

I am excited and sad.  

It has been an incredible journey, 

and it will forever live on in our hearts and imaginations. 

Something Borrowed

I was so excited for this movie to hit the theater.

I love these kind of girly chick flicks, 

and the stars are ALL fabulous.

And I had no idea how she would pick

I have to say that I was voting on Ethan. 

I wasn't crazy about the whole cheating concept, 

but I really liked the movie. 

I even think that I am going to read the book.

Mainly so I can read Something Blue.

(I am weird about not reading all books in a series from start to finish)

The Duchess

My friend suggested for me to watch this movie.

It was good, 

and I love Keira Knightley. 

It is based on a true story.

It is the story of a strong woman

 and the struggles of her loveless marriage to a powerful man.   

The only draw back is that the actor that plays the duke, 

Ralph Fiennes, also plays Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter films, 

so I kept expecting him to whip out a wand and kill her.

Water For Elephants

A few months before the movie I decided I wanted to read the book.

I am very glad I did. It was mysterious and romantic. 

I found the time period and circus setting fantastic. 

I recommend it.

Then the movie came out and.....

LOVE!!!!!!

First of all one of my favorite actor and actress are the stars. 

The book was brought to life. 

Of course there were some adaptations, 

but I think that they were good for the big screen. 

I can't wait for it to come out on DVD.

New Teacher

Saturday was a movie night.

So we went to see Bad Teacher. 

I have to be honest, 

I didn't love it,

But I didn't hate it. 

It was funny, 

but it could have been funnier. 

Also I thought that there were parts were too much. 

Over all I give it a B-. 

I recommend it, 

because it seems that everyone else liked it a lot.

I went with a group of girl friends last night to see it. 

It was HILARIOUS!!!!

I laughed, I cried, and I had a great time.

JANE EYRE

A few weeks ago,

 for my birthday, 

my friends to me to a movie. 

I picked Jane Eyre. 

I  LOVED it. 

I had never heard the story, 

so it was all brand new for me. 

I loved it so much that I went home and started reading right away. 

It is not a quick read, 

but it is a good read.

Pirate Love

I have fallen in love with a pirate !!!

I recently watched all of the movies with a friend.

I loved it!!!! Jack and Will and Elizabeth!!!! I was in from the get go. By far my favorite movie.

There was a lot of running in this movie, and Davy Jones really creeps me out.
Probably my least favorite but still good.

Another good one. Will as a Captain is HOT!!!!

I love Johnny Deep and Penelope Cruz together.
Their chemistry is amazing.
A good ending to the story....
Or is it the end???

Red Riding Hood

This movie was AMAZING!!!! 

I loved it so much!!!!!

I haven't scene a movie that I liked this much in a while. 

It was dark, artsy, visually pleasing, and super sexy.

I can't wait for DVD!!!

I may even have to go to the theater again.

The King's Speech

I went and saw The King's Speech a few weeks ago

 with my sister and brother in law.

I wasn't really excited about seeing it, but I loved it. 

It was a really good story, and I just love that dry British humor. 

And I must admit that I love Colin Firth. 

There were a few actors from the Harry Potter films. 

If you haven't scene it you should.

Scary Movies 101

In honor of Halloween I decided to share with you a few movies 

that I will not be watching this year due to the creep factor. 

This movie scared me so much as a child, 

and honestly I don't like it much now. 

I was creeped out just looking up the picture. 

I had nightmares about this one. 

My friends and I even did Candy Man in the mirror. 

Not a good idea for a bunch of 12 year olds. 

I think it may have been the friend that crept up behind me in the theater

 and scared me that makes this movie so creepy. 

After The Ring my sister and I checked the back seats of our car

 every time we got in for a week. 

I don't know why, but this movie totally creeps me out. 

And yes I do realize it is not a scary movie. 

What can I say? I am a wimp. 

So what movies creep you out the most? 

Smiling is my favorite!!!

I am needing a little pick me up today so I have been watching ELF clips on YouTube. I think I need to purchase this movie, because it makes me smile so much.

I also downloaded a Christmas song. :)

Shutter Island

With all the adjusting I have been doing over the past few months I have not had much time to read. So I am glad that my first book back in the mix was Shutter Island. It was AMAZING. I loved the mental health aspect of it. I loved that it was set in the 50's. (I love that time period.) It was a psychological thriller at its best. I read it in about 3 days. Under normal circumstances for me that is no big deal, but during this busy period of life that is saying a lot. 

I was so good that I finished it and ran right out and rented the movie.

And you know what?

It was great, too. It was an accurate representation of the book. 

If you like to read....READ IT!!!
