I discovered something last night that was really profound for me. Blood does not make you family. It takes so much more than that. Family is about sharing, giving, loving, growing, belonging, and counting on people. Family is about the time you spend and share with each other. Family is about memories of the past, the joy of the present, and the hope of a future together. Family is personal and always there. Family is love and acceptance. I love my family so much and thank God for it.
