Pirate Love

I have fallen in love with a pirate !!!

I recently watched all of the movies with a friend.

I loved it!!!! Jack and Will and Elizabeth!!!! I was in from the get go. By far my favorite movie.

There was a lot of running in this movie, and Davy Jones really creeps me out.
Probably my least favorite but still good.

Another good one. Will as a Captain is HOT!!!!

I love Johnny Deep and Penelope Cruz together.
Their chemistry is amazing.
A good ending to the story....
Or is it the end???

A friend of mine had her baby yesterday, so today I got to go and hold the sweet baby girl. It is amazing the power that babies have. There were 8 grown ups standing in a room staring at this precious little creature watching her sleep, yawn, and suck her little thumb. We were all amazed. It made me think of what a miracle life really is and how amazing God is to create something so outstanding. I can't wait to hold little miss again soon.

Searching for Gaga or God?

In the last couple of days, due to an appearance on SNL,

Lady Gaga has come up several times in conversation.

I have learned that Gaga fans find her inspiring.

It is even said that she is the most influential celebrity of today.

And the interesting thing to be is that is not because of her music.

It is because of her message.

She stands for acceptance of all people and being proud of who you are.

In our world today people are searching.

They won't to fit in, to feel good about themselves, to not be judged, and to not be alone.

I feel sad for our society.

I also makes me sad that when people think of "church"

they think of the opposite of acceptance.

They think judgment and damnation.

That is exactly opposite of what Jesus call for the church to be.

It makes me wonder what would our world be like if people found what they are looking for in the church?

What if they could find acceptance from God's people?

What if we stepped up and showed the world who Jesus really is?

Got Faith???

I have been single for 3 years now.

It has been a great 3 years.

I think after the series of long term failed relationships

I have had I needed some single time.

And to be honest I haven't had a whole lot of single time in my life.

This has been a very important time in my life.

So where is the trouble you ask?

I live in the South, North Louisiana, the buckle of the Bible belt...aka married country.

I am 29 and around here the girls get married at 23.

I have amazing friends.

I love my life, but I have to be honest sometimes I get sad that I'm missing out.

All my life I have dreamed of having a family, being a wife, and a mom.

Being single at 29 was not in the plan.

I don't want to be one of those girls who is old and always waiting on the man.

I want to have faith.

I mean really God has gotten me through major depression, loss, and a major addiction.

Why can't I have faith in Him with this.

I hear Him saying "wait" and "trust me."

Where is my faith?

Parent's Love

I believe that a parent's love has got to be one of the most beautiful things in this world. I don't know this from personal experience, as I don't have kids, but I do have amazing parents. The love that they have shown me through out my life has been amazing. On the days that I didn't deserve it they loved me even more. I feel it in their hugs, phone calls, and everything they do for me. I pray that one day I have a chance to love a little person just like my parents love me.
